Book club voting: choose the next read together
Every member nominates a book, everyone ranks the list, and the winner is the one most of the club actually wants to read — not just the pick of whoever spoke first.
What a board looks like
- The prize winner
- The 900-page classic
- The thriller
- The memoir
- Something short for once
Each voter places 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points — every value once.
Why Eurovision-style points work here
The full ranking doubles as a reading queue: second and third place are your next two months, already agreed.
How to run it
- Create a board and add your options (photos optional).
- Share the link or QR code with your group.
- Everyone hands out their points from their own phone.
- Finish the voting to reveal the scoreboard to everyone.
Tips
- Add cover images so the list is easy to scan.
- Members can update their ballot after reading the blurbs.
- Reopen nominations by resuming the board when the queue runs out.
